Frequently Asked Questions
how long is each season?
Food & Provisions NYC requires a minimum commitment of one season. You can choose to pay for the entire season upfront, or to be billed monthly. We build the delivery calendar around holidays and the New York City school calendar. The Summer season is 8 weeks long, and Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons are each 12 weeks long. Once you sign up, you are required to adhere to the payment schedule of your choosing for the duration of that season.
Can I customize the weekly menus?
Each week, our community of eaters will receive the same delicious seasonally- and locally-sourced omnivore’s menu. This allows us to work closely with farmers and suppliers and utilize the best of what is available at any given moment of the year.
I am outside of your delivery zone. Can you deliver to me?
At this time, we are only able to provide delivery to the following neighborhoods: Bed Stuy, Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Vinegar Hill, Dumbo, Brooklyn Heights, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Gowanus, Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Crown Heights, Windsor Terrace, Red Hook, Greenwood, and Sunset Park.
when can i expect my deliveries?
Deliveries will be made each Sunday evening between 5-9 PM. No exceptions can be made. It is entirely your responsibility to either be available to accept the delivery, or to make arrangements for Food & Provisions NYC to key into your home and place the food in your refrigerator. In this case, we require that adequate room be made available in your refrigerator to ensure fast and easy drop-off for our delivery person. A $25 fee will be assessed if adequate room is not available in your refrigerator, requiring rearrangement by our delivery person. If you are not home to accept delivery and you have not made arrangements for Food & Provisions NYC to enter your home, your delivery will be donated to a family in need and no refund shall be given.
What if I am not home to accept the delivery?
We are happy to make advance arrangements to key into your house and refrigerate your food should you not be home on any given Sunday. We ask that you ensure there is space available in your refrigerator for our delivery person to easily place the food; otherwise, we will charge a $25 fee. Unfortunately, our delivery window of Sunday evenings is not flexible.
You have 2 options. We are happy to make arrangements to do a one-time delivery to a different family or person within our zone, if you choose to “gift” your week to someone else. Alternately, you can apply the cash value of up to one week’s worth of delivery to the purchase of your next seasonal subscription.
What if I am going on vacation during a season?
Absolutely fresh! They are delivered straight to your door directly from our kitchen in Brooklyn.
Do the meals arrive fresh or frozen?
We currently offer only an omnivore’s menu that includes seafood, meat, poultry, vegetables, and grains.
Do you offer a vegetarian/vegan option?
Due to the nature of the service, we are unable to accommodate specific allergies and dietary restrictions at this time.

What's Your cancellation policy?
To best work with our local farmers, vendors, and producers, we are unable to offer a refund or a cancellation of the seasonal commitment once we are within 7 business days from the start of each season. Prior to 7 business days, we are happy to offer a refund, less a $100 processing fee.
